Details
The graphite drawings are drawn on 140 lb acid free hot press paper.
The paintings are painted with museum quality oil paints on Belgian Oil Primed Linen.
Every commission is created exclusively for the client with archival, museum-quality materials. This is just one distinction that sets my work apart from others.
Three or more dogs? We’ll discuss the details and come up with a concept and composition that captures your vision, and provide you a quote within 24 hours.
How Our Commission and Payment Process Works
After our initial consultation the client sends 2 -3 detailed pictures to parsonarts@mac.com. We’ll provide photography tips for the best lighting, angles, and composition to capture your dog’s personality. If your dog is no longer with you, we'll embellish your photos in Photoshop in order to provide the best portrait.
A 50% deposit is required to begin work on your portrait. We receive payments via Stripe, or through PayPal.
When the photos and deposit are received a composition study will be created in two weeks for approval before moving forward. Because communication is key during the creative process, you’ll receive regular email updates. Portraits are in process continually, so if there’s a date it’s needed by we can discuss it during our consultation.
When the commission is completed, a watermarked scan of the final piece is sent to you. Once approved and the 50% balance is paid, it will be shipped.
Shipping
Our shipping prices include the use of the same materials, standards, and care that’s used to pack and ship priceless artwork in major museums across the world. Flat rate for any commission shipping discussed after size is selected.
Larger sizes are quoted upfront before the deposit is made.
Artwork is shipped by UPS ground or FedEx courier.
Custom Sizes
We also offer larger custom sizes that are not listed on the pet portraits pricing guide pricing guide.
These commissioned custom sizes would be discussed in our consultation.
Additional charges are added for multiple dogs, full bodies, and any additional customizing. We’ll discuss the details during your initial consultation.
